I spoke too soon

Yeah ummm add throwing up to the list and when you have a child in ketosis – you get ketoacidosis and you spend the night at Carle.  Larkin was getting worse and I brought her in.  They know when I come through the door with her it’s an overnight.

Her bio-carbon levels were at 15 and they need to be at 20.  We will stay here overnight on IV fluids and a check of her blood sugars every 4 hours.   This time I brought her in early enough that they could find a vein and catch it early before everything goes haywire.  Haywire is a technical term in all medical books.

She is still throwing up …. poor punkin.  I got into bed with her and said “gosh you smell like throw up” and realized she had thrown up in her sleep.  Good times.  Neat.  Wish you were here?

I am sure she will feel somewhat better tomorrow after the IV.

She is still sweet – might have to brush her teeth though 🙂

You don’t want to be within 20 feet of us. 🙂 I would love to sit and gab with you but she is really sick. We didn’t sleep much last night so I am going to relax and close my eyes for a bit. Are you feeling better?

((sigh)) Mark’s mom came up with a great idea after seeing nearly every shirt of mine covered in spit up splatters. She said someone should design clothes with puke splatter patterns and call it Momoflauge to disguise the real stuff.
