Update

We are still in Carle.  Probably won’t be home until Monday or Tuesday.  No worries – she just has a gastro bug that is kickin her little butt.  If she were not on the Ketogenic diet this most likely wouldn’t have been this big of an issue.  In retrospect, I took her home too early because I thought we could manage this at home and have Thanksgiving dinner.  I was wrong.  We spent Friday night in the ED and Saturday she was worse so they admitted her again.  I will say this…the view up here is amazing.  We live in a beautiful town.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and comments.  It helps to know that even though the world is turning and snow is falling there are prayers out there for us.

I will post more when I get home.  I have a story to tell.  Sometimes I wonder if that is why I am put in these situations.  To see clearly WHY Larkin’s Place at the Y is so very important to this community.  People are amazing and I enjoy watching their stories and figuring out the lesson.

Virtual hugs and kisses so we don’t spread out germs.  A & L from the 8th floor.

Thank you for the update I’ve been thinking of you all this past weekend. I went to church on sunday and what a great message. Pastor Leman wanted to spread the word of giving the godly gifts and not just to make it last this holiday season but to give the greatest gift of all and make it last a life time. You’ve done that with our family and we are so thankful that we met! Your stories are wonderful and the lesson’s that you teach us through your journey and many others are priceless!!! I can’t thank you enough for all of that!!! Hoping L gets to feeling better and hugs back to you from the Bates family!!!
