I snapped these photos our first night. Chase is handsome as ever and Larkin …. well she is standing. What is important is that she is standing all on her own. Not holding on to anything. She stood like this for about 30 seconds before she realized it. We have NEVER see her do this on land. We have seen her stand in water but even then not like this and not this long. I think the wires along the deck gave her a visual that fooled her somehow. I got a little bit nervous even knowing that she was safe and kept telling Andy to “grab her” and our friend Mike said “oh it’s not a kill you fall, it’s a break something fall” – instantly I felt better. NOT.
Daddy I can’t stand without you!!! 😉

OMG OMG OMG Larkin, you champion! I have tears streaming here as I look at this picture of you! I know your mommy and daddy are so proud! Anytime mom, anytime! Try giving her a little toy to hold (if you don’t already) … I swear that gave Payton a sense of steadiness when she took her first steps. Woo hoo Larkin! You are my hero!
You should have heard my scream up there. I’m thrilled!!! We miss our swim buddies … think of us when you’re in the water.
