We finished painting the house on Wednesday and the guys delivered it to the hotel on Thursday morning. I cannot say enough great things about Shane who works for Kemper Industrial Supply. Nor can I ever thank Kemper’s enough.
This house is over 9 feet wide and 10 feet tall. It weighs about 1,000 pounds so it’s a monster to move.
I am so blessed to have great people in this community helping us!!
The pictures are from my cell phone and I had just come down from a 12 ft ladder hanging the sign from the ceiling so my hands were shaking a little. They aren’t the greatest but I will take more tonight and post those.
While Irina and I were working on the house, Larkin fell asleep in my friend Jen’s arms and she laid her down on the fake snow so she could sleep. It was probably the most adorable thing in the room.
The house is a raffle item. Tickets are $1 and the drawing will be held on Sunday afternoon. My hope is that some little girl wins and this makes a families Christmas just that much more special. I know a lot of our friends want it – but anyone can write a check. This way – maybe a little one who put her name in the box – will feel that thrill!!
I will post more tomorrow after the Gala.
My husband and daughter were stuffing the box last night. I have instructions to put more tickets into it tonight. Wish me luck!
It would definitely be dreamy for our children and would look wonderful in our back yard.
(And yes, that is just a precious picture of a babe sleeping in the snow.)
Love L in the snow! We put in our ticket today. It’s truly beautiful. Have fun at the gala.
